| I've mentioned the problem to one of our chemical engineers where I work. He has worked in the potro industry since I was in diapers, so I figured it couldn't hurt to have his opinion. All I said was "premature injector failure", when he stopped me and said "older pintle type injectors with Ethanol, right?" According to his explanation, ethanol-enriched gas offers nowhere near the lubrication of regular gas, so the electric coil has to work extra hard to fight the friction every time it moves the pintle up 'n down. This is what burns the coil prematurely. Made sense to me.
